Ireland becomes first country to establish permanent basic income for artists. 2,000 artists will receive €325/week for 3 years in rotating cycles. Pilot showed reduced anxiety, more creativity, better self-sufficiency. The scheme recouped more than its €72M cost through increased arts spending and reduced welfare.
